About us

Why care for cows?

Krishna Valley – Care For Cows is a peaceful cow sanctuary ( Goshala )  located in Bambra, Victoria, where cows, calves and bulls are cared for their entire lives. Rooted in the principle of ‘ahimsa’ i.e. non-violence, our cows are never harmed, sold or slaughtered. They are protected, respected and lovingly cared for, day by day, as valued family members of our community.

Our program supports:

  • Healing the earth — Sustainable farming without exploitation
  • Nourishing us — Pure milk, ghee, and eco craft essentials
  • Transforming hearts — Compassion as a spiritual practice
  • Building a family — Real connection through shared purpose

Spiritual Grounding : Being in the presence of these gentle animals often brings a sense of humility and stillness, offering space to reflect and experience a deeper connection with life and nature.

A must visit if you like to hang out and feed the cows. They are very friendly and love to eat apples, carrots & bananas. Love this serene and tranquil corner where you can spend time meditating or just being there!

Meet the herd

From curious calves to wise old souls, meet our bovine family who bring a sense of compassion at the Krishna Valley.

I’m Anuradha, the curious baby of the group always hopping on my hooves!

I’m Baliman, the youngest in the herd, and yeah, I’m basically the cool, calm, collected type!

I’m Ekadashi, and I’m basically a brilliant, bold live wire with zero off switch. I will push past anyone between me and brushes or treats!

I’m Gita Govinda—most people call me Gita. I’m curious, sweet-natured, and quick on my feet.
